FORMER Spice Girl Mel C has kept it humble by swerving celeb hook-up sites such as Raya and signing up to regular dating app Hinge.
She revealed she now has a profile on it after her seven-year relationship with music producer Joe Marshall ended in August.
But she is not having much luck.
Mel said: “What is it about Hinge?
“I’m single, and I’m having a little look around, it’s slim pickings.
“There seem to be loads of hot girls but all the hot guys are gay.”
Chatting on the Not My Bagg podcast, Mel also admitted she is not best impressed by her bandmate Victoria Beckham’s husband David signing a seven-figure deal to front a new campaign for the Qatar World Cup.
Mel, who last week won the Honorary Gay gong at the Attitude Awards admitted his move didn’t sit right with her because being gay is illegal there.
She said of Qatar’s hosting: “I’m an ally to the LGBTQ+ community so I’d feel very uncomfortable showing support for it.
“I under-stand people want to talk about sport being able to change culture, but when there’s so much money involved, it’s tricky.”
“It’s difficult. David is a friend, and every-body has to make their own choices.”
NICKI SHOWS HER CLAWS
THEY say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery – but not according to Nicki Minaj.
The Starships singer, who wore this fur coat and tiger-print dress and boots for Interview magazine, sharpened her claws over new artists who fail to find their own style and rip off established stars.
In the mag she told Jada Pinkett Smith: “What I’m seeing now is that so many new artists are trying to become the person they looked up to instead of giving us a new flavour, and it’s irking the crap out of me.
“I know I could see so much talent in some of the new artists but they lose me when I’m seeing the person who they are trying to be like, or sound like, more than I’m seeing who they are.
“So if I’m hearing too much of that artist who already has hits out, when I’m finished listening to your song or watching your performance, I’m going to play that artist.
“I’m not going to go and look more into you, because you’ve just reminded me so much of the other person.”
NOEL: PALS KEPT ME STRAIGHT
NOEL GALLAGHER feels lucky not to have gone off the rails during his time in Oasis.
They were years of heavy drink and drug use but the High Flying Birds rocker said he always had friends around him to stop him going too far.
Noel said: “Fame can hit people really hard. I always use the story of Amy Winehouse, a lovely girl from North London.
“All of a sudden she makes that album, she becomes a world superstar, fame hit her like a truck and she didn’t make it.
“Sadly she didn’t have the people around her. I’ve been surrounded by the same people for 30 years, who look after me.
“I don’t have a transient organisation where it’s just a raft of different people every six months.
“With Amy, Pete Doherty, people like that, if you’re a grown man and you’re successful no one is going to tell you what to do if you’ve got money.”
He added on the Pub Talk podcast: “My fall-back was always my work.
“The partying side of it and the drugs and all that, I treated that as a bonus.
“I didn’t get caught up in anything other than just a laugh.”
ZOE HAS A GO ON TAYLOR EP
ZOE KRAVITZ has co-written two songs on Taylor Swift’s latest album Midnights.
The record, out tomorrow, is Taylor’s first collection of new songs since 2020’s Evermore, and fans may be surprised to hear of Zoe’s involvement.
It has been revealed she had a hand in writing the songs Karma and Lavender Haze, while Taylor’s long-time collaborator, Jack Antonoff, helped out on 11 of the 13 tracks.
But on one song, Vigilante S**t, Taylor is the only credited writer.
BTS JIN’S ’PLAY TIME IS OFFICIAL
BTS band member Jin has confirmed my story from yesterday that he has teamed up with Coldplay’s Chris Martin for a solo single.
He announced his tune, The Astronaut, was co-produced and co-written with Coldplay, Norwegian DJ Kygo and super producer Max Martin.
All of Coldplay appear on the song, which is out on October 28, and Chris’s teenage son Moses even sings background vocals.
FILM SENT ED OUT ON THE CLOWN
WHO can blame Eddie Redmayne having a big grin on his face when he’s got glamorous Jessica Chastain beside him at the New York premiere of their film.
Jessica, looking fab in a white minidress, stars with Eddie in the dark movie The Good Nurse.
The flick is about a nurse linked to a series of hospital deaths, so it’s no wonder Eddie wanted to lighten up after filming.
He shot the project last year before starring in Cabaret in the West End as the Emcee – and says he had to find his funny side beforehand.
Eddie explained: “I took myself off to clown school in Paris,” adding that he wanted to “go into rehearsals willing to make a fool of myself”.
