Jeremy Clarkson has responded to Richard Madeley after being called the wrong name in an episode of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?.
On the celebrity edition of the show that aired last night (October 16), the I’m a Celebrity star accidentally called Clarkson by the name of his predecessor, former Millionaire host Chris Tarrant.
“Which of these abbreviations is used when someone wants something done immediately?” Clarkson asked Madeley, giving him a choice of four answers.
“I shall answer ‘As Soon As Possible’, Chris, it’s ‘A’. Final answer,” the journalist answered quickly, prompting Clarkson to reply: “I’m not Chris.”

Madeley then realised the blunder, laughing it off and saying “Does that happen [often]?” with Clarkson telling him: “You look young, but you’re senile.”
The two started laughing, with Clarkson adding “This is gonna be great this show,” while Madeley admitted ironically: “It’s going well.”
After the confusion, Madeley revealed that his wife Judy Finnigan had warned him before his appearance on Millionaire not to call Clarkson by Tarrant’s name. The couple had appeared on the series back in 2004, when Tarrant was still at the helm.
“The last thing that Judy said to me before I came on was whatever you do, don’t call him Chris,” the journalist shared.

However, Clarkson had another chance to hit back at Madeley later on, when he gave him a taste of his own medicine.
“Anyway, Piers,” Clarkson said, pretending to mix Madeley up with former Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan.
Earlier in the episode, Madeley had made another blunder when he took Clarkson’s seat by mistake, instead of the seat normally reserved for guests.
