Stephanie Beacham is set to return to Coronation Street, 13 years after she last appeared on the soap.
Beacham will reprise her role as Martha Fraser, who had an infamous fling with Ken Barlow when he almost left his wife Deirdre.
Ken is stunned to find that his former flame has returned to the village, especially since he has just struck up a relationship with another of his ex-lovers, Wendy Papadopoulos.
As he attends a Weatherfield Players Am Dram production, he is taken aback by the sight of Martha after all these years, who arrives to help out with the show.

In fact, Ken begins to forget about his blossoming relationship with Wendy, as his head is turned by the exotic charms of actress Martha.
However, this leaves Ken in deep waters as the serial dater finds himself in a classic soap love triangle.
Ahead of her arrival on the show, Beacham revealed that she was thrilled to revisit her old storyline between Martha and Ken, after all this time has passed.

“I am delighted that Martha has returned to Weatherfield,” Beacham said. “It is an absolute joy to be working with Bill [Roache] again.”
While Ken Barlow actor and Coronation Street veteran Bill Roache is excited about the new developments in Ken’s love life, he fears it will end in heartbreak.
“I was delighted when Wendy came back into Ken’s life,” he began. “I love that the writers are drawing on the rich history of Ken’s life to come up with these stories.

“When I found out that Martha was also going to make a return I was thrilled, but I fear heartache may be round the corner once more for Ken now he has found himself in another love triangle.”
Martha is set to return to Coronation Street in the episode that airs on November 23.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
